Medyo gubat lang pala hehehe... with kids playing pa ha! for some time i am having a second thought going back to Acoje but after this a fire rekindled inside me.... I WANT TO GO BACK TO ACOJE!!!

There are still some old familiar faces i know who hasn't left the place... nice pics taken... galing din ako sa acojemines blogspot... beautiful....

ANG GALING... ANG GANDA... ANG SAYA-SAYA!!! NOT ENOUGH ADJECTIVE TO DESCRIBE THE FEELING TALAGA.

our family left acoje when i was 10 years old (32 years ago), but i was old enough to remember the good memories... the hospital where i was born, and the church, where we celebrated our parents 25th wedding anniversary. i remember climbing up the stairs to go to church coming from commissary. that was a "work out"
thank you for your effort and keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for bringing back memories from where I've been. I will always take into account all the experiences and proud that I came from Acoje.
Few years ago, i was able to talk to Lourdes Abella and we reminished our life in Acoje and i can help but cry because i miss the place so much. When I told my sisters Jessica and Angel to check the picture of our house on this website, they were very excited. My mom did cry and she wanted to go back in Acoje.
Wherever i am right now, i want you all to know that in my heart I will always be an Acojenian. I will share this pictures with my husband and kids....

Left Acoje after graduating elementary in '77. I wish we stayed for a few more years.
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful collection of pictures. I wonder if you also have some pictures from section 6?. I would like to see if our house is still there. We were neighbors with Balonso, near Agron and Pocsidio. My sister Mimi enjoyed viewing the hospital building. Brought back lots of memories.
I heared that another company is interested in investing, and give life to Acoje again. I hope they succeed.
Thank you to JR for giving me this add.

Hi Guys!
i am not from acoje mines but i visited the mine site... the only thing that stood there that i saw from the trail of pictures is the school which is now the staff house.
the church and some small houses are still intact. the rest is history sad to say.
i felt bad when i saw the community in Acoje because during my visit 2 small scale miners died when mining for chromite.
