Acoje was organized as a Philippine Corporation On october 14, 1935, with the initial purpose of exploiting and developing metallurgical chrome properties. The Acoje Mine Camp is located thirty-five kilometers from the town of Sta. Cruz, Zambales in Luzon. It Sprawls on an elevation ranging from 1,600 to 2,000 feet above sea level, protected from typhoons and the other ravages of the seasons by mountains sorounding the property.

sobrang nakakatuwa... i was only 11 or 12 years old when i left the place (16 years na!!!) and hindi na rin nakabalik... thanks for putting this website.
tama ka hindi nga papuntang acoje, nililigaw tayo...ang pagkakaalam ko ay papuntang boracay...tama ba ako?????heheheh

jayar, thanks! i assumed na road nga yan going to Acoje from Lucapon, or the other way around. Sa source kasi ng picture na yan - it was labeled: "Completed road works on access road to the coastal city of Santa Cruz". or yan yung isnasabi nilang "culvert and bridge on the southern road" Pero kayo nakakaalam jan e hehe... so kung mali man ako- i stand corrected.
Actually, may kasama pa isang picture yan pero di ko na naipost,maybe later.
(saka baka sakali makakita din ako ng "ROAD" going to Boracay, i post ko na rin. Yun ay kung MERON.

acoje,always brings back memories of childhood.its a place that given us so much inspiration.,our teachers before,old classmates.
seeing the pictures felt like coming home.mas iba na nga lang..
sna yung mga ibang taga acoje will never forget the place.sna nxt time na may reunioin ang venue dapat sa acoje di ba?
hopefully nxt tym we can see more pictures...and videos..i kinda miss lawis and the panoramic view.
thanks for uploading pix of acoje! liblib na lugar pero nakakamiss sobra! it's been more than 18 years since I last visited the place! it's so depressing to leave the place but my family had to because of it's economic status....
